The Composite 40/55 AVS field hockey stick has 40 percent fiberglass, 55 percent carbon, and 5 percent aramid construction provides strong, sound drives with a vibration dampering system for intensified results and the most comfortable feel. Optimum ball control provided by new cavity back and cavity back head. No material was removed from the stick to create the STX cavity back. As composite sticks are hollow, the cavity is actually a dent where the material is pushed in. The dent creates a kiss point or strength point inside the stick where the inside of the walls touch. STX has placed this cavity at the most flexible part of the stick. If a composite sticks breaks, this is the most common breakage point. Therefore, creating the strength point where the cavity at this position will create a stronger stick. This stick is part of the STX composite line of high performance field hockey sticks that are crafted for stiffness and strength to capitalize on driving power, durability and superior ball control.
